Makita is expanding its range of cordless outdoor power equipment with the addition of the 18V X2 (36V) LXT Brushless Cordless 18” Self-Propelled Lawn Mower (XML06PT1). This mower offers a solution for efficient grass cutting with zero emissions, lower noise levels, and reduced maintenance. It is powered by two 18V LXT batteries and features a 4-bay battery system that can hold up to four batteries for double the run time without needing to switch to a different battery platform. The Makita-built motor can deliver up to 3,300 RPM, while the Quiet Mode setting reduces noise by maintaining a constant speed of 2,500 RPM.

In addition to its performance features, this lawn mower is designed for ease of use with quick height adjustments, mulching capability, and a commercial-grade steel deck. The XML06PT1 package includes the lawn mower, four fast-charging 18V LXT lithium-ion 5.0Ah batteries, and an efficient 18V Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger. The mower also incorporates Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) with a protective seal that enhances operation in harsh conditions by redirecting water and dust away from internal components.

As part of Makita's expanding 18V LXT System, this lawn mower is compatible with the world's largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. The Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries feature fast charge times and are equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls for improved tool performance and extended battery life. The Star Protection technology allows the tool and battery to communicate in real time, monitoring conditions to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.

The self-propelled mower has a variable speed range of 1.5 MPH to 3 MPH and a 4-bay battery system that provides twice the run time. It can be powered by two 18V LXT batteries with the option to insert two additional batteries for extended use. With no gas, emissions, oil mixing, or pull starts required, this mower offers a hassle-free and environmentally friendly lawn care solution with reduced maintenance and low noise levels.
